BAKEHOUSE CONDITIONS OF ENTRY + SAFETY GUIDELINES for COVID-19 

Upon re-opening on June 1st 2020, Bakehouse Studios will implement a safety policy with conditions of entry to protect the safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff. The policy will be renegotiated as government restrictions ease and will be in place until further notice. Our next review of these guidelines will happen on June 22nd 2020. 

As a condition of entry to Bakehouse Studios, you must agree and adhere to these guidelines at all times. We want to continue to offer a safe, comfortable, and welcoming space to you, our customers, and hope that everyone can work together to get through this time of readjustment. We seek your understanding in this changed time and ask that you come to the studio prepared, organise your arrival times, and try to bring everything that you need with you. 

In adherence to government guidelines that mitigate against the spread of Covid-19, customers and staff are required to practice the following safety guidelines.


General

  1. Practice physical distancing of 1.5m at all times.

  2. Practice good hygiene and wash hands regularly.

  3. Remain at home if you are feeling (even slightly) unwell.

  4. Each band member must provide contact details before entering the building.

  5. Consider wearing a protective face mask and/or gloves.

  6. Minimise interactions with other customers and staff. We encourage you to be as prepared as possible, to minimise loaning equipment from the office. 

 

Cancellations

  1. Bakehouse has a 48-hour cancellation policy that applies to all standard rehearsal bookings. The full rehearsal fee will be charged if a booking is canceled within this time. 
  2. Bookings that are canceled under 48 hours due to illness in adhering to Covid-19 guideline will be eligible for a make up booking for an off-peak session, valid until 31 Dec 2020. 

  3. Cancellation fees must be paid on or before the day of original booking in order to qualify for the make up session 

 

In rehearsal spaces 

  1. Load in and load out times will be staggered. Load-in times will be 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm specified when booking. It will help us a lot if you are on time, so please coordinate with your band. 

  2. All day time session now finish at 5pm to allow time for cleaning 
  3. All evening sessions now finish at 11pm to allow time for cleaning
  4. Adhere to strict person limits for each rehearsal space. 

Details available on entry to each room.

  1. Arrange the space to adhere to 1.5 physical distancing regulations.

  2. Where possible, we ask that you BYO microphone. 

  3. No guests are allowed at the studio during this time.

  4. All sessions will now finish at 11pm to allow time for cleaning and minimise patron time spent in the building.

  5. There will now be a small cleaning fee of $2.5 attached to any borrowed equipment (excluding hire gear). This applies to instrument cables, power cables, extra microphone cables, stands, capos, tuners, pedal ect. 

 

Payment: 

  1. We will not be accepting cash.

  2. All payments will be made electronically and with contactless means where possible. 

  3. Our preference will be to collect pre-payment over the phone at the time of booking.

  4. We will be discouraging split payments for the time being. 

 

Communal Spaces and Facilities: 

  1. A limit of 1 person allowed in the kitchen at a time. 

  2. A limit of 1 customer in the office.

  3. Use physical distancing markers in the foyer, and in toilet lines.

  4. Congregating in groups in communal spaces is discouraged. Physical distancing guidelines must be followed. 

  5. If you would like tea or coffee, you must bring your own cup or mug.

  6. We encourage you to leave the building during your break. Go for a walk around the block, purchase food and drinks from local businesses.

  7. We encourage you to dine in at local restaurants.

  8. No food preparation on site.

  9. We are discouraging food to be consumed on the premises. 

  10. We are unable to provide cutlery, plates, glasses, or kitchen wares to use during this time. 

 

Storage: 

  1. All storage customers are required to call Bakehouse before picking up or dropping off gear. This needs to be done outside of load in times to limit foot traffic. 

 

Showcases/ FIlming: 

  1. After June 22nd we will be introducing a cleaning levy for all bookings with increased numbers of participants

 

What Bakehouse will be doing 

  1. Deep cleaning of the facility before reopening on June 1st

  2. Sanitation and cleaning of the facility and equipment after each session 

  3. All microphones and leads will now be kept in the office to ensure sanitation before use. 

  4. Provide safety guidelines to all staff and customers 

  5. Collect contact details for each person entering the building 

  6. Provide hand sanitizer to staff and customers 

  7. Inform and train staff on current safety guidelines and procedures

  8. Continue to update safety guidelines and procedures as restrictions change
